Metropolitan Works Tour

Come and see Metropolitan Works’ facilities for yourself by signing up for one of the Centre’s free open days

A great opportunity for designers, artists and manufacturers to visit the largest and most comaprehensive Digital Manufacturing Centre for the creative industries in the UK.


Visitors will be treated to live technology demonstrations with plenty of opportunity to see samples and ask questions.


What you will see during the day:

Digital technology and machinery
Rapid prototyping > Laser cutting
3D scanning
5-axis & 3-axis CNC routing
Waterjet cutting
Workspace and CAD facilites

These facilities are complete with a range of commercially licensed software and a choice of peripheral equipment are also available

Wood workshop

The Centre’s impressive wood workshop contains a large range of traditional machinery, including:

thicknesser
lathe
morticer
table saw
dimension saw
band saw
pillar drill
radial arm saw
surface planer
dpindle moulder
bobbin sander
disk sander
belt sander
