The Obama Syndrome

Tariq Ali in conversation with Bonnie Greer, takes a timely look at Obama and his notion of 'reform'.

As the high expectations surrounding Barack Obama's election subside and his administration grapples with an historic midterm defeat, Tariq Ali in conversation with Bonnie Greer, takes a timely look at Obama and his notion of 'reform'. Can US politics ever escape a slant towards Republicanism and are Obama's domestic and international policies actually surrenders to the establishment?

Tariq Ali is a writer and filmmaker. He has written more than a dozen books on world history and politics, and is an editor of New Left Review. His recent book The Obama Syndrome: Surrender at Home, War Abroad is released in paperback in September 2011.

Bonnie Greer OBE is a playwright, author and critic, whose books include Obama Music.
