London As It Might Have Been

Find out about the sometimes visionary, sometimes just plain bizarre ideas that architects, planners and others have had to improve the city over the years.

Peter will be sharing images of the sometimes visionary, sometimes just plain bizarre ideas that architects, planners and others have had to improve the city over the years. A square Piccadilly Circus, a tideless Thames, monorails and urban airports, new bridges, grand vistas and a rather morbid pyramid are just some of the schemes that never quite got off the ground.

The talk will last an hour including an opportunity to ask questions and to look at some original plans. You can also enjoy a drink, meal or snack during or after the talk if you like.
