Hybrid electric cars with batteries are now on the road, which produce lower CO2 emissions. But how efficient or safe are these batteries? How can we use crystals to produce better lithium batteries for electric cars? Discover how computational chemistry is helping us to understand these materials, which could have a significant impact on the future of clean energy.

Professor Saiful Islam is a Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award holder at the University of Bath.
