Barnett Lecture

Greg Dyke, former Director General of the BBC will be talking on Leadership in the Creative World


This is the annual Barnett Lecture at Toynbee Hall, held to celebrate our founders. The Lecture starts at 6.00pm for 6.30pm and will be followed by a Drinks Reception. How to get to Toynbee Hall

Toynbee Hall Map

Toynbee Hall is easy to reach by road, underground and rail. Toynbee Hall is in London's East End yet only a short walk from the City. Just round the corner from Aldgate East station (London Underground). Ten minutes walk from Liverpool Street station (London Underground and mainline railway). Close to Whitechapel Art Gallery, London Guildhall University
and Brick Lane.

Parking

There is unloading space via the rear entrance in Gunthorpe Street. A very limited number of parking spaces can be arranged for the disabled, please make arrangement in advance. Convenient multi-storey NCP car parks are located at:

  • Commercial Street
  • Middlesex Street
  • Shoreditch High Street

Underground

Aldgate East District, Hammersmith & City lines (2 minute walk approx)
Aldgate Metropolitan/Circle lines (5 minute walk approx)
Liverpool Street Circle, Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City, Central and mainline services (10 minute walk approx)

Buses

Nos 15, 25, 115 & 253 pass the bottom of Commercial Street along Whitechapel High Street
No 67 from Stoke Newington/Stamford Hill via Dalston & Shoreditch stop on Commercial Street outside Toynbee Hall
Nos 40, 42, 78 & 100 stop at Aldgate
Nos 8, 26, 35, 43, 47, 48, 78, 149, 242 stop on Bishopsgate
Nos 11, 23, 42, 133, 141, 214, 271 & 344 terminate outside Liverpool Street Station
