Penny Lecture | Does Female Representation Matter?

Caroline Criado-Perez will consider the various ways in which women are under-represented and misrepresented throughout the media

In this Penny Lecture, Caroline Criado-Perez will consider the various ways in which women are under-represented and misrepresented throughout the media and elsewhere, and ask why this matters. Caroline Criado-Perez is a freelance journalist and feminist campaigner. She is co-founder of The Women's Room, an organisation and database that campaigns for more women experts in the media, and she led the campaign to keep women on banknotes.
Entry to this lecture is one penny on the door as a nod to the original Penny Lecture series which began over 125 years ago at the Old Vic Theatre in Waterloo, and led to the establishment of Morley College.
