Science Oxford Film Club – Star Wars

Imitated but never bettered, watch this masterpiece on the big screen.

Often imitated but never bettered, Star Wars (or "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope", as it is now officially entitled) marked a sea-change in the way that film-makers treated space and space travel. Join us to watch George Lucas's 1977 masterpiece on the big screen, and recapture the excitement of a film which not only redefined special effects technology, but which altered the whole business of cinema itself.
