Through artists telling their stories, and acting as role models, Show & Tell aims to create a realistic idea of what it is to be a professional artist today.
Lucy Austins work is slow, fragile and is made from many layers over a long period of time. It is imbued with meaning such as memory, loss, vulnerability and identity. It is about living and what that feels like. There is something ancient about her work, which has a powerful dramatic and emotional presenceâ.
