Author Tariq Goddard comes to talk about demonic possession, good and evil and the supernatural.
The next Weird oâ Wonderful (WoâW) event features the author Tariq Goddard talking about demonic possession, good and evil and supernatural experiences. This takes place on Wednesday 12th October, 2011 at 7pm. Suitably, the venue is reputedly one of the most haunted pubs in York - The Golden Fleece.
Tariq has written on a variety of subjects and has various accolades to his name. His fourth novel - 'The Picture of New Contented Wealth: a metaphysical horror' was awarded the Independent Publisher's Award for Horror Writing 2010 and has been discussed and featured in many reviews and programmes including Radio 4's Saturday Live earlier this year http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00ps1h8.
Tariq's latest novel,'The Message' will be reviewed by Kirsty Wark and the panelists on the BBC2 The Review Show on Fri 30th September.
Tariq was born in London in 1975, read Philosophy at King's College, London and Continental Philosophy at the University of Warwick and the University of Surrey. He has a long-standing interest and direct experience of inexplicable supernatural events. He lives with his wife on a farm in Wiltshire where they run zer0 books and an organic herb farm.

The WoâW Lectures take place on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. Lectures start at 7pm (doors open at 6.30pm). Tickets are £5 (£3 concessions with ID) - payable on the door. Lectures are unsuitable for under 16's.
