The social brain in adolescence

Sarah-Jayne Blakemore will explore how the social brain develops during adolescence – a period of life which was, until recently, neglected by neuroscience.

We are currently gaining an insight into the neurophysiological basis of social cognition and what is known as the social brain that is the network of brain regions involved in understanding others. Sarah-Jayne Blakemore will explore how the social brain develops during adolescence – a period of life which was, until recently, neglected by neuroscience.
