The second of a series of lectures by Theologian Vernon White about believing in life beyond death.
This second lecture on the possibilities of believing in life beyond death presents some key images of eternity from christian theology. It sketches out how life beyond death has been imagined in scriptural narrative and imagery, and then asks whether these images are credible in a contemporary world view of space, time, and material reality. It considers whether the idea of 'soul' can and should be rehabilitated, in spite of its currently unfashionable status.
