20th June 2012. A stunning new exhibition of Leonardo da Vinciâs studies of the human body takes place at The Queenâs Gallery, Buckingham Palace this summer, and will be the largest ever show dedicated to this area of the artistâs work. Leonardo had wanted to publish a treatise on anatomy and had he done so his discoveries would have transformed European knowledge of the subject, but upon his death his studies remained unknown and unpublished in his studio
Our study day includes an introductory talk by National Gallery lecturer Siân Walters, timed entry tickets, audioguide hire and study notes. Lunch (optional) been arranged in a delightful French restaurant, for those who would like to join the group.
