Pre-concert talk: Gerald Larner discusses Franck's piano quintet

Gerald Larner discusses Franck's piano quintet in a pre-concert talk. Concert by Balcea Quartet with Imogen Cooper on piano.

Introduced by Adam Gorb. The RNCM Composers' Focus Day enables students who have written works for medium to large-scale forces to hear them in rehearsal, and to have them recorded for purposes of subsequent examination. Sessions are directed by Clark Rundell (Director of Contemporary Music) and by the postgraduate conducting Fellows, and the event culminates in a public workshop concert at 7.30pm, at which a selection of the compositions worked on during the day are heard in performance.
