The information war has been central to uprisings that have swept across the Arab world. For those countries where regimes have not been toppled the fight over control of the message continues.
In Bahrain we have seen authorities use Western PR and lobbying firms to gain ground on social media platforms. In Syria there is a battle between a state-run machine and a army of new media rebels.
