To mark York 800, the Mansion House will hold a series of monthly talks to highlight and explore the history of the building, its collection and its occupants. Richard Pollitt, Manager of Civic Services, the Mansion House and the Guildhall, is the first speaker, exploring the history of the mayors and examining their impact on the city. Join him in the splendid state room to hear their stories; from railway barons to chocolate mayors, military mayors and feasting mayors! Whole event duration: 1 ½ hrs approx.
