Writing and Talking About Your Art Work

Structuring Artists' Statements & Biogs and Talking About Your Work in Different Contexts

This workshop explores that typically tricky subject for artists: 'writing and talking about your work' and looks at structuring your artists' statements and biogs into understandable and engaging texts with both artistic integrity and the key points that you should cover within your statement. We shall also look at good and bad examples of statements and give you resources you can use.

Our tips and advice will help you make a statement that gives a greater insight into your practice and working method.

We shall also cover talking about your work in different contexts whether to a gallery, curators, potential collectors or the general public all of which is essential to get people interested in your work.
