An evening of heraldry and history - art historian Bendor Grosvenor reveals our latest portrait acquisition and expert Chloe Cockerill presents an entertaining introduction to heraldry.

A talk exploring the symbols and fabulous beasts of heraldry, including the history of the royal arms and those of our 17th-century fellows George Ent and Baldwin Hamey.
Chloe is a former regional development manager for The Churches Conservation Trust. She is a writer and lecturer for the National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies, The National Trust.
Lecture: 'From God we receive life, from a physician we recover it, and from Van Dyck we preserve it', Dr Bendor Grosvenor
An exploration of the RCPâs newly acquired portrait of Baldwin Hamey, discussing whether it was, as Hamey seems to have claimed, painted by van Dyck himself.
Bendor is an art historian and dealer, working for Philip Mould Ltd in London, a gallery specialising in old masters and British pictures. He appeared in the BBC1 television series Fake or Fortune?
