Scholar and actress Abigail Rokison, winner of the inaugural Shakespeare's Globe Book Award, discusses the discoveries made in her monograph Shakespearean Verse Speaking.

Combining scholarship and practical exploration from the rehearsal room, the book considers how editorial decisions influence theatrical delivery.

The Shakespeare’s Globe Book Award is granted to a first monograph which has made an important contribution to the understanding of Shakespeare, his theatre, or his contemporaries.
