Discover more about maps in contemporary art on Saturday 29 September during a day of presentations and discussions from artists featured in the Mind the Map exhibition. Confirmed speakers include Simon Patterson - creator of the Great Bear, artist Jeremy Wood in conversation with Shane Walter - Director of onedotzero and artist Susan Stockwell.

The Art of Maps and Mapping Symposium is a part of the Maps Unleashed series of special events organised in celebration of London Transport Museumâs exhibition, Mind the Map: inspiring art, design and cartography. The events programme will run through to October 2012.
Visitors will be able to refresh themselves with a âTomTomâ Collins cocktail in The Upper Deck café bar before heading to events.
The Mind the Map: inspiring art, design and cartography exhibition reveals a century of creative and influential map design for London Underground. Among the highlights of the exhibition are Harry Beckâs original designs for Londonâs iconic Tube map, beautifully illustrated poster maps by MacDonald Gill and a series of new commissions by contemporary artists including Simon Patterson, Susan Stockwell and Stephen Walter.
