South Sudan - the path back from war

Africa Talks public lecture


Aggrey Tisa Sabuni, Economic Advisor to the President, will discuss the successes and challenges of building core Government institutions in South Sudan. Mr. Sabuni will discuss the role of the international community in this process, and identify where the development of these institutions has succeeded and where there is still more work to be done.

Aggrey Tisa Sabuni is currently the Economic Advisor to the President, having previously served as Undersecretary (Permanent Secretary) to the Ministry of Finance. He holds a Masters in Development Economics from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelors in Statistics from the University of Khartoum.
