This programme provides a major insight into the constantly changing face of
attitudes to life throughout the centuries. Each lecture is a broad view of a particular theme coupled with a closely connected visit to a place of outstanding attraction.
Little of Roman London is visible today and so we go out twenty miles to visit Verulamium by St Albans, the largest Roman city after London. Here we can traverse the walls, visit the only mosaics and every conceivable object to
illustrate the lives of its Roman inhabitants. A perfect day out to close the yearâs programme of the London Course.
