Study Day
This fascinating Study Day will take a look at the ways in which historic collections of textiles have inspired previous generations, and how they continue to be a rich source of ideas for designers today. Contributions from curators offer an historical perspective; while other speakers will explore the ways in which historic textiles continue to inform both mass-market products and new art works.
Inspired by the Past accompanies MoDA’s exhibition of Italian textiles, Woven Splendour, and there will be a guided tour of the exhibition during the lunch-break.
