A study day in conjunction with the stunning new exhibition dedicated to the Northern Renaissance at The Queenâs Gallery, Buckingham Palace this winter.
12th December 2012. The exhibition showcases over 100 paintings, prints and sculptures by the greatest Northern European artists of the Renaissance such as Memling, Dürer, Cranach, and Holbein. These artists worked during a dramatic period of religious reform, witnessed the advent of printing, saw the rise of humanism, and partook in an extraordinary wave of artistic patronage. Our study day includes an introductory lecture by National Gallery lecturer Siân Walters, pre-lecture refreshments, timed entry tickets, audioguide hire and study notes. Lunch (optional) has been arranged in a delightful nearby Italian restaurant, for those who would like to join the group.
