This conversation celebrates the launch of a new title by Artifice books on architecture, A Few Years of Writing Interspersed with Some Facts of Life
On Tuesday 27 November from 6.30-7.30 pm Robert Maxwell, Emeritus Professor of Architecture at Princeton University, will be in conversation with Anthony Vidler, Professor of the Irwin S Chanin School of Architecture at The Cooper Union, New York.
With a body of work firmly at the heart of architectural theory and discourse, Robert Maxwell is undoubtedly one of the most respected architectural writers and educators of recent times. A Few Years of Writing Interspersed with Some Facts of Life brings together a collection of over 30 of Maxwellâs writings from the late twentieth century to the present, through which are woven events and occasions from his own diary that expand on debates in the world of architecture throughout the period.
Anthony Vidler is currently working on a forthcoming publication, The Third Typology and Other Essays, to be published by Artifice books on architecture in August 2013.
RSVP is essential as seating is limited. Please email press@workgallery.co.uk to reserve a seat.
Even if you are unable to attend the âin conversationâ, please join us from 7.30â“8.30 pm for a drinks reception at which Robert Maxwell will be signing copies of his book, available to purchase at PAPERWORK Bookshop for the special price of £15 (RRP £19.95).
