Stephen Dorrell is a British politician. A member of the Conservative Party, he served in the Cabinet of Prime Minister John Major as Secretary of State for National Heritage (1994-95) and Secretary of State for Health (1995-97). He is the Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency of Charnwood in northern Leicestershire, and is a Patron of the Tory Reform Group. In June 2010, Dorrell was elected Chairman of the Health Select Committee.
