Blood and Iron - Ogun

Ogun and the Warrior Mysteries of Voodoo

Since he hit the streets of London a decade ago, Stephen Grasso has grounded his hybridised, syncretic voodoo in the place he lives and works. His meteoric writing career in the alternative world is due largely to the way in which he takes us into his London, his roadside rituals, his grinding commute, the worlds of rum sacrifice staining the office worker's sensible suit — a magic of the extreme as much as it is of the mundane. His articles have appeared in Strange Attractor, Generation Hex, Abraxas, and in collections and anthologies; he has a blog and a book is in progress. His readings have riveted audiences in London, resulting in an underground following. This is his final performance before he moves to America.
