Living in Dung

Join Museum beetle expert Frank Krell to dig deeper into the world of the dung beetle.

The dung beetle’s job is unglamorous and under-appreciated. These marvellous creatures are vital to the process of recycling nutrients back into the soil. Without dung beetles, savannas and pastures would be overwhelmed by dung. In fact, European and African dung beetles were imported to Australia to prevent cattle farms from drowning in the stuff. Join Museum beetle expert Frank Krell to dig deeper into dung.
