A free talk on Cibber's famous statues of melancholy and raving madness
A second opportunity to hear the Bethlem Archivistâs talk on Cibberâs famous statues, following a sell-out at Bartâs Hospital last November. What difference have the centuries made to the statues that for 150 years stood at Bethlemâs gates, and what difference have the statues made to representations of Bethlem - and mental health - over the centuries?
