Living in the Ancient Roman Era

An evening with Mary Beard

Through her many broadcasts and often controversial writing, Mary Beard is “Britain’s bestknown classicist”, being a Professor of Classics and a Fellow of Newnham College Cambridge as well as the Classics Editor of the Times Literary Supplement. This evening, Mary slices through the stereotypes to discuss the realities of living in the ancient Roman era.
