Lez Henry discusses the intricate and sometimes obscure ways that whiteness functions as part of racist discourse in British society.
Housmans welcome Lez Henry to discuss his book âWhiteness Made Simple: Stepping into the Grey Zoneâ, in which he examines the concept of âwhitenessâ, and attempts to demystify its historical role and influence on human relationships in the world today. He will consider the privilege of being racially classified as white and explain it from a black perspective, suggesting âwhiteness is the ever-present non-presence that moulds and shapes reality.â
