Short Course: An introduction to its underlying principles and universal concepts
Are there universal philosophical principles? Find out about the many shared concepts across different civilizations and trace their influence throughout history. The central idea of the perennial philosophy is that there is one unchanging reality, which gives rise to universal laws, and that the different religions and philosophies are like different languages expressing the same universal truths. This course will present these timeless principles in their essence and show how they have been a continuous source of inspiration for the greatest minds in history.
1st evening: Introduction to Perennial Philosophy, its key ideas in metaphysics, psychology and ethics
2nd evening: Perennial Philosophy throughout the ages: Greek and Roman Schools of Philosophy, Hermetic Teachings in the Renaissance, mystics and scientists.
3rd evening: Alchemy and Astrology: examples of the application of the principles of perennial philosophy
