How Bacteria Rule Planet Earth

A-level and undergraduate student lecture, from microbiologist Prof Lappin-Scott.

Are you an A-level or Undergraduate Biology student?

Bacteria were the first colonisers of planet Earth - their development made it possible for life to evolve. These invisible organisms shape all life, from within the deepest ocean vents to key processes within the human body.

Join us @ The Linn to look more closely at how we humans exploit microbes, via biotechnology to produce essential pharmaceuticals, production of some foodstuff and even to purify our water supply. Prof Lappin-Scott will also take a candid look at the deadly bacterial diseases that have shaped our history!
