Secrets of Kashmir and Northern India

Discover the diversity of Northern India from the stark mountain deserts of Ladakh with its Tibetan influences to predominately Muslim Kashmir

A year on from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) lifting its advise for travel in parts of Kashmir, Wild Frontiers founder Jonny Bealby, looks at how tourism has changed in this once highly disputed region of northern India, what draws visitors to the area and the positive knock on affect for adventure travel here and across its neighbouring states.

Discover the diversity of the north both in landscape and religion – from the stark mountain deserts of Ladakh with its strong Tibetan Buddhist influences to predominately Muslim Kashmir with its beautiful alpine mountains and tranquil lakes; the lush hill stations of Himachal Pradeshto and ornate Sikh temples in the Punjab.
