We know that public attitudes and expectations about sexuality change, but here two eminent writers on sexuality discuss the ways in which the history of sexuality is written and consider its implications.

Clare Hemmings is professor of feminist theory at LSE.

Jeffrey Weeks is research professor at the Weeks Centre for Social and Policy Research at London South Bank University.
