Covering 500 years, 38 patrons and several continents, this course is an examination of audacious acts of patronage and how they resulted in some of the finest art collections in the world.
Queen Victoria's grand-daughter, Alexandra and her husband Nicholas commissioned a host of extraordinary items for the the Alexander Palace of Tsarskoe Selo. Annually, this included the famous Imperial Easter Eggs by Faberge.
