The violent death of King Richard III

Uncover the potential sequence of events leading to the last moments and death of Richard III.

Speaker: Robert Woosnam-Savage – Curator of European Edged Weapons, Royal Armouries

In 2012 a skeleton was excavated at the former site of Greyfriar’s Church in Leicester, under a local council car park. The skeleton was that of Richard III, buried in the church in August 1485 following his death at the battle of Bosworth.

Hear of the latest work and learn how historical and archaeological evidence has uncovered the potential sequence of events leading to the last moments and death of Richard III.
