How to Connect People?

A presentation of the practice of Finnish contemporary artists working with new media by Taru Elfving.

A presentation of the practice of Finnish contemporary artists working with
new media, who all share in their individual ways the concerns prevalent in
Heidi Tikka’s work. The talk maps out an array of inventive approaches that
critically investigate interaction and communication in the everyday and examine the possibilities of activating the space between the artwork and the viewer.

Part of the exhibition events programme during ‘Mother, Child & The Double’, two interactive installations by Heidi Tikka at Fabrica until 19th December.

Taru Elfving is a researcher and curator of contemporary Finnish art based at Goldsmiths College, London.
