Altruism as a factor of economic development

When we hear the word ‘altruism’ we might think of Buddhist monks isolated in spiritual retreat, but what if there lies a solution to the problems today.

When we hear the word ‘altruism’ we might think of Buddhist monks isolated in spiritual retreat, but who says a selfless approach cannot be much more universally relevant than this and even beneficially applicable to the economic structures of mainstream society?
If you are interested in how altruistic action could be the alternative to the economic woes of our time, then don’t miss this special talk.

Dr. Harry Costin holds a Masters degree in education from Harvard University and a doctorate in Strategy from Boston University. He has taught at several US and European universities and business schools and is currently doing research on the evolution of societal mores and the restructuring of economic practices.
