For Family Historians: Fishing and Fishermen

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED

Britain's fishing industry has a long history. Find out more, including where to find records about your fishing ancestors.

Do you have ancestors that were part of Britain's fishing history? Dr Martin Wilcox aims to introduce you to the history of the fishing industry and its main developments. Martin also covers where to find the archives and bodies of records that you can use to research the subject.

There are no special entry requirements for this course and you do not need to be a Member of the Society of Genealogists to attend. However, it is specifically about the history of Britain's fishing industry and how to research ancestors that were involved in it. Expect a friendly atmosphere, an expert tutor and lots of detail. Tea and coffee are provided during a break in the morning.
