Company and Business Records for Family Historians

This one-hour talk aims to help you understand the wealth of information about your ancestors in company and business records.

Eric Probert considers the potential information on our ancestors. He then describes ways of finding out about the existence of businesses from the 19th Century onwards and how to find out where surviving records have been deposited.

Eric also identifies the major repositories for business records. He shows many examples of informative records from online internet sources, libraries and archives.
