Painting with Light

Looks at the history of photography


'From today painting is dead' so said the artist Paul Delaroche in 1840. He was wrong of couse but the remark underlines the revolutionary nature of the invention of photography. Looks at Daguerre, Fox Talbot, Cartier Bresson, Capa, Gursky etc
