A unique opportunity to hear and participate in an event which brings together two important figures with Islamic and Humanist perspectives on the modern world.

There will be plenty of time for questions and for informal dialogue.

Chair: Innes Bowen, author of “Medina in Birmingham, Najaf in Brent: Inside British Islam”

Prof Jim Al-Khalili is President of the British Humanist Association. He’s an Iraqi-born theoretical physicist, author and broadcaster.

Prof Ziauddin Sardar is Chair of the Muslim Institute. He’s an internationally renowned author, broadcaster and cultural critic.
