This lecture will explore the contours of the relationship between faith, broadly construed, and work, both paid and unpaid, in the charitable sector.
The origins of charitable deeds are firmly rooted in religious traditions. This lecture will explore the contours of the relationship between faith, broadly construed, and work, both paid and unpaid, in the charitable sector. Developing an understanding of this relationship has implications for both staff and volunteer recruitment and retention. Dr. Patrick Harman serves as the Executive Director of the Hayden-Harman Foundation. He is currently at Durham University as a Fulbright scholar.
