The UKâs population of Turtle Doves has decreased by over 90% over last 40 years. This talk looks at the reasons for the decline, what is trying to be achieved to reverse it and the wider implications for other species.
Once a common farmland bird, the UKâs population of Turtle Doves has decreased by over 90% over last 40 years. This talk by Les Edwins, the RSPBâs Turtle Dove Conservation Advisor for South East England (a role which entails talking to farmers and landowners about what they can do to help Turtle Doves), will aim to look at the reasons for the decline, what is trying to be achieved to reverse it and the wider implications for other species.
