Seminar by Centre for Creative Communities, exploring how funders fulfil their aims through funding London projects connected with the arts.
There is a great deal of experience in the funding community of this complex area. Yet, change dominates the world in which we live and in response there has been a growth in practice that cuts across traditional boundaries and areas of expertise. This practice is hybrid in nature combining the talents and interests of many sectors.
Among others, questions addressed will include:
How can funders approach hybrid work (i.e. arts & other sector partnerships)? Does it fit within funding criteria frameworks?
What obstacles do funders face in identifying projects that reflect their vision? What intermediaries do they use?
The seminar will involve brief introductory interventions from key speakers, participatory reflection groups and lunch.
