This is the first of three special events giving rare access to the Adam drawings collection which will be introduced by the Soaneâs curator of drawings, who is one of the worldâs leading experts on Adam.
Taking an in-depth look at Kenwood House, one of Robert Adam's famous London country houses, this intimate and informal talk will offer you the chance to see original Adam drawings up close, while the Soane's curator discusses their significance. Then, take a tour of the exhibition Robert Adam's London to discover key objects and some surprising Adam projects across the capital.
About Kenwood House
On the edge of London's Hampstead Heath, Kenwood is a Jacobean house which Robert Adam transformed into a stunning neo-classical villa for Justice William Murray (later Earl of Mansfield). The interiors contain some of Adams finest surviving schemes, and his famous library at Kenwood is one of his greatest achievements.
