Handel and the Musical Canon

Annual lecture at Handel's former home in Mayfair, this year focusing on the musical canon.


The musical canon is central to our appreciation of classical music today, and 18th-century Britain led in its formation.

Handel’s role in influencing that process is the subject of this lecture by Suzanne Aspden, Associate Professor of Music at the University of Oxford.
