The Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP will deliver this yearâs Robert H. Smith Lecture, focused on the strong history of collaboration between American and Britain on international development. What challenges and opportunities does the future hold for this common democractic agenda? Andrew is the Member of Parliament for Sutton Coldfield (since 2001). He has been Shadow Secretary of State for International Development (2010 - 2012) and Secretary of State for International Development and Government Chief Whip (2012). He is also a Senior Research Fellow of the Centre for Rising Powers, Cambridge University which allows top decision-makers from around the world to highlight latest efforts on poverty alleviation.
