Professor David Berman will explain the recent discoveries in the detection of Gravitational Waves
The discovery of Gravitational Waves is perhaps the greatest scientific advance of this century. First predicted a hundred years ago by Einstein, their recent discovery has allowed us insights into some of the universe's most violent events - the collisions of black holes. Professor Berman's talk will explain the relevance of General Relativity before going on to discuss the latest advances.
