Micheál Ó Conghaile on his Irish language translations of the London-Irish playwright Martin McDonagh
The ILS is delighted to announce that the ILS / ITS Noel OâConnell Annual Memorial Lecture will be given by Micheál Ó Conghaile on his Irish language translations of the London-Irish playwright Martin McDonagh and the Irish language literary scene today. Ag aistriú Martin Mc Donagh ansin dfheadainn labhairt faoi scribhneoireacht agus foilsitheoireacht na Gaeilge inniu agus ceisteanna a fhreagairt. Ó Conghaileâs translations of McDonaghâs work â“ The Beauty Queen of Leenane (BanrÃon Ãlainn an LÃonáin), The Cripple of Inishmaan (Cripil Inis Meáin), and The Lonesome West (Ualach an Uaignis) â“ have received acclaimed productions by the Galway International Arts Festival.
